Blaise Vespe (born November 6, 2002) is an American college basketball player for the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles of the Atlantic Sun conference.
Born in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Vespe is the son of Deborah and Will Vespe.[1] His father, Will Vespe, played at the University of Miami before getting drafted in the Major League Baseball by the Minnesota Twins and played professional ball in the Cleveland Indians organization.[2]
As a junior Vespe helped the Saints’ first Philadelphia Catholic League title since 2014. Vespe drilled a late three-pointer and secured a key blocked shot. The New Jersey native and graduate of St. Joan of Arc School in Marlton finished with seven points, five rebounds, one steal and two blocks.[3] Vespe transferred from St. Augustine Preparatory School in Richland, New Jersey,[4] and after he graduated from Neumann-Goretti, he enrolled at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds over his last 12 games.[5]
Vespe, a 6inchesft7inchesin (ftin) freshman forward, played a season-high 18 minutes December 10, 2022, scoring 8 points, six of which came in the first half against the Mercer Bears.[6]
