Benjamin N. Maltz was born in 1901 in Chicago, Illinois.[1] He started his career as a whisky broker in Chicago.[1]
In 1954, Maltz was hired as the first Chairman of the Board of City National Bank, a new bank founded by Alfred S. Hart based in Beverly Hills, California.[1] [2] [3] Over the years, the bank became known as the "bank of the stars," bankrolling many American movie stars.[3]
