Bellsburg is an unincorporated community in Dickson County, in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It lies along State Route 49.
A post office was established as Bellsburgh in 1849, renamed Bellsburg in 1893, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1905.[1] The origin of the name is disputed. Some hold the community was named for Shadrach Bell, a pioneer, while others believe it was named for Montgomery Bell, who may have played a role in its development.[2]
