Barik Rud-e Shomali Rural District (fa|دهستان باريك رود شمالی) is in the Central District of Fereydunkenar County, Mazandaran province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Suteh.[2] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Firuzabad,[3] now a neighborhood of the city of Fereydunkenar.
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as Barik Rud Rural District of the former Fereydunkenar District of Babolsar County) was 4,506 in 1,277 households.[4] In the following census of 2011, there were 3,914 inhabitants in 1,235 households,[5] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Fereydunkenar County. The rural district was transferred to the new Central District and renamed Barik Rud-e Shomali Rural District.[2] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 3,991 in 1,381 households. The most populous of its nine villages was Suteh, with 1,511 people.[6]
