Babaheydar (fa|باباحيدر) is a city in, and the capital of, Babaheydar District of Farsan County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran.[2] It was administrative center for Mizdej-e Olya Rural District[3] until transferred to the city of Gujan.[2]

The city is populated by Lurs.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 10,922 in 2,245 households, when it was in the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 11,099 people in 2,897 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 11,202 people in 3,276 households,[7] by which time it had been separated from the district to join Babaheydar District.[2]
