Bab Anar (fa|باب انار) is a city in the Central District of Khafr County, Fars province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[2] It was the administrative center for Khafr Rural District[3] until its capital was transferred to the village of Zarjan.[2]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 1,702 in 445 households,[4] when it was capital of the former Khafr District of Jahrom County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 6,968 people in 2,096 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 7,061 people in 2,230 households.[7]

In 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Khafr County, and Bab Anar was transferred to the new Central District as the county's capital.[2]
