Bačkov (pronounced as /cs/) is a municipality and village in Havlíčkův Brod District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 100 inhabitants.
Bačkov is located about 16km (10miles) north of Havlíčkův Brod and 37km (23miles) north of Jihlava. It lies in an agricultural landscape in the Upper Sázava Hills. The highest point is at 537m (1,762feet) above sea level. There are several small fishponds in the municipal territory.
The first written mention of Bačkov is from 1307, when the village was acquired by the Benedictine monastery in Vilémov.[2]
There are no railways or major roads passing through the municipality.
There are no protected cultural monuments in the municipality.[3] In the centre of Bačkov is a chapel.
