Aslan Duz-e Gharbi Rural District (fa|دهستان اصلاندوز غربی) is in the Central District of Aslan Duz County, Ardabil province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Gedaylu.[2] The rural district was previously administered from Aslan Duz.[3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as Aslan Duz Rural District of the former Aslan Duz District of Parsabad County) was 15,324 in 2,807 households.[4] There were 16,116 inhabitants in 3,848 households at the following census of 2011.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 17,709 in 4,713 households. The most populous of its 54 villages was Aq Qabaq-e Sofla, with 872 people.[6]

In 2017, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Aslan Duz County. The rural district was transferred to the new Central District and renamed Aslan Duz-e Gharbi Rural District.[2]
