Apsheronsky District (ru|Апшеро́нский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Krasnodar Krai, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Apsheronsky Municipal District.[2] It is located in the south of the krai. The area of the district is 2443.2km2. Its administrative center is the town of Apsheronsk. Population: The population of Apsheronsk accounts for 40.7% of the district's total population.
Apsheronsk narrow-gauge railway, opened in 1927, is the largest mountain railway of its type in Russia.
