Angut-e Gharbi Rural District (fa|دهستان انگوت غربي) is in the Central District of Ungut County, Ardabil province, Iran.[2] Its capital is the village of Qarah Aghaj-e Pain.[3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of the former Angut District of Germi County) was 12,806 in 2,585 households.[4] There were 11,855 inhabitants in 2,920 households at the following census of 2011.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 10,721 in 2,953 households. The most populous of its 86 villages was Ziveh, with 1,412 people.[6]

In 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Ungut County, and the rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[2]
