Altybaysor (kk|Алтыбайсор) is a salt lake in the Aksu City Administration, Pavlodar Region, Kazakhstan.[1]
The lake lies 60km (40miles) to the SSW of Aksu city. The area surrounding the lake is used for livestock grazing.[2]
Altybaysor is an endorheic lake of the northern end of the Kazakh Uplands at an elevation of 110m (360feet). The Irtysh flows 50km (30miles) to the east of the eastern shores of the lake.[1]
There are a number of smaller lakes in its vicinity, such as Zhamantuz (Aksu City Administration) 23km (14miles) to the northwest, Zhamantuz (May District) 47km (29miles) to the SSE, Batyrsha 11km (07miles) to the west and Bozshasor 4km (02miles) to the south. Alkamergen lies 39km (24miles) to the south.[2] [3] [4]
