The 2025 World Surf League is the 48th season of all iterations of the tour circuit for professional surfers. Billabong Pipe Masters will be the first round of the tour.[1]

For the first time, the season will end Cloudbreak, in Tavarua, Fiji, will host the WSL Finals to determine the 2025 World Champions.It is the first time the WSL Finals has moved locations since its debut in 2021.[2]

John John Florence and Caitlin Simmers were the defending champions.

The 2025 CT will include eleven regular-season events in nine countries. The Mid-season Cut will come into action following Stop No. 7 in Margaret River, Australia. Surfers who make the Cut will compete in United States, Brazil and South Africa.The final event of the regular season will be in Teahupo'o in Tahiti, where the 2024 Olympic Final took place, and the best surfers in the world will battle for a place in the WSL Finals.[3]

The 2025 CT season will start with 36 men and 18 women. Halfway through the season, the field will be reduced to 22 men and 10 women. The top-ranked surfers will automatically requalify for the 2026 CT, as well as continue on to the second half of the Tour, where they will be joined by one men's and one women's season-long wildcard, and one men's and one women's event wildcard. [4]

The 2025 season will see the return of some of the world's great surfing spots. Like Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast, returning after five years, and J-Bay after being left out of last season. Trestles will no longer be the venue for the WSL Finals, which will be held in Fiji for the first time, while Abu Dhabi, UAE and its largest and longest wave pools in the world enter the CT for the first time.[5]
