The 2025 IIHF Women's World Championship will be the 24th edition of the IIHF World Women's Championship, an international ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), contested in České Budějovice, Czechia from 9 to 20 April 2025 at the Budvar Arena.[1] [2]

Format

The top five teams from the previous tournament are placed in Group A and the teams that finished sixth through eighth in the 2024 tournament, plus two teams promoted from 2024 Division IA, will be placed in Group B. All of the teams in Group A and the top three teams from Group B continue to the knockout phase, while the bottom two teams from Group B will be relegated. During the knockout stage, there will be a re-seeding after the quarterfinals.[3]
