2024 Summer Paralympics Parade of Nations explained

The Parade of Nations at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games took place on 28 August as a "people's parade" on the Champs-Élysées.^[1] Athletes from 169 delegations moved from the Arc de Triomphe down the Champs-Élysées to the Place de la Concorde.^[2]

Parade order

As the Paralympic Charter determines,the Participating National Paralympic Committees paraded in alphabetical protocolar order in the language of the host country, French. Future hosts, Australia for the 2032 Paralympics, and the United States for 2028, appeared in reverse chronological order at the end, while the current host country, France, entered last. Athletes from Russia and Belarus who are taking part in the Games as Neutral Paralympic Athletes were not allowed participate in the parade of nations.

The following is a list of all parading countries with their respective flag bearer, sorted in the order they appeared in the parade.^{[3] [4]} This is sortable by country name under which they entered, the flag bearer's name, or the flag bearer's sport.
