2024 Purdue Boilermakers football team explained
The 2024 Purdue Boilermakers football team represented Purdue University as a member of the Big Ten Conference during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Boilermakers were led by second-year head coach Ryan Walters. Purdue played home games at Ross–Ade Stadium located in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Despite a strong 49-0 win over Indiana State to start the season, the Boilermakers sputtered down the line, losing every single game after that. Purdue finished with a disastrous 1-11 record, including a winless record in conference play for the first time since 2013. On December 1, following a 66-0 loss to Indiana to end the season, Walters was fired as the Boilermakers head coach.[2] The Boilermakers went 5–19 under Walters including a Big Ten record of 3–15.[3]
