The 2009 State Basketball League season was the 21st season of the State Basketball League (SBL). The regular season began on Friday 13 March and ended on Saturday 18 July. The finals began on Friday 24 July and concluded with the women's grand final on Friday 21 August and the men's grand final on Saturday 22 August.

The regular season began on Friday 13 March and ended on Saturday 18 July after 19 rounds of competition.[1] [2]

Finals

The finals began on Friday 24 July and consisted of three rounds. The finals concluded with the women's grand final on Friday 21 August and the men's grand final on Saturday 22 August.[3] [4] [5] [6] Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium served as the grand final host venue for the last time in 2009, with the WA Basketball Centre taking over as headquarters in 2010.[7] [8]
