The 2009–10 National League B season was the 63rd season played in the National League B, Switzerland's second-tier professional ice hockey league. The season started with 11 teams, but the Young-Sprinters had to withdraw after 15 games due to financial difficulties.[2] In Round 38, Dominic Forget made a historic moment when he scored five seconds after the game started, a new league record.[3] EHC Visp won the regular season championship with a one-point edge over second-place EHC Olten. The winner of the playoffs was Lausanne HC, the third-ranked team of the regular season.
