Lindsay Davenport defeated Martina Hingis in the final, 4–6, 6–4, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2000 Indian Wells Masters.[1] [2] [3]
Serena Williams was the defending champion, but lost in the quarterfinals to Mary Pierce in a rematch of the last year's quarterfinal.
