Anke Huber defeated Mary Pierce in the final, 6–0, 6–7^(4–7), 7–5 to win the singles tennis title at the 1994 Virginia Slims of Philadelphia.^[1]

Conchita Martínez was the defending champion, but lost in the first round to Nathalie Tauziat.
